Use 1 bottle of red wine

½ cup of water and a ½ cup of sugar

Add a ¼ cup of brandy

3 cinnamon sticks

Add 1 tsp. of allspice berries

Use 4-star anise seed

Crush 5 cardamom pods

Add ½ vanilla bean exposed

Fresh nutmeg, approximately ¼ tsp.

½ cup of cranberry juice

Add rosemary to taste

Place water and sugar into crock pot on high. Stir lightly to dissolve sugar. Add in cranberry juice and rest of ingredients. Heat until beverage simmers. Turn to warm, and allow to sit for 30 minutes. Strain and add cranberries before serving.

Winter Wine Hot Cocoa

Try this adult version of hot cocoa for those frosty nights. All you’ll need to start is one bottle of your favorite fruity red.

Use 1 bottle of fruity red wine

3 1/3 cups of granulated sugar

1 cup of cocoa powder

Add 2 cinnamon sticks

5-star anise

8 cloves

4 cups of dark chocolate

2 clementines

1 sprig of rosemary

Add each ingredient with exception to the wine in a saucepan over low heat. Bring contents to a simmer. Remove from heat and add your fruity red wine. Stir and serve.

Honey Pomegranate Wine

This sweet favorite is easy to make and uses everyday ingredients. Start by picking your best bottle of cabernet or zinfandel. From there, you’ll need the following:

2 cups of pomegranate juice

Add ¼ cup of raw honey, our wine experts suggest purchasing local if possible

1 cinnamon stick

1 tsp. of whole cloves

Combine all ingredients in a large pan. Place on low heat and slowly warm while stirring. Stir enough to dissolve the honey. Keep on low heat and do not let the mixture boil. Heat for 40 minutes and then serve.

Winter Wine Punch

Nothing to celebrate? No worries, your friends and family will celebrate your great hosting skills with this winter wine punch. While this concoction isn’t warm, it will bring much joy during your next get together.

Use 1 bottle of red wine

Add 2 lemons—sliced

1 cup of orange juice
